Handmade Figaro
This necklace started as scraps of metal from projects past and ideas that never took form.
The figaro curb chain was created entirely by hand— forming, cutting and torching each link. They are connecting in a figaro pattern: 3 long links and one short link. Once assembled, the entire necklace is pulled, twisted and hammered flat over and over again to become a flat curb chain.
Each piece of this collection is a small artifact that reflects care and balance in its making. Everything is individually constructed by hand, using recycled materials. The outcome reminds me of the small rock I carry around in my pocket, A small memento that holds memories and brings a sense of comfort.
